WHO WE ARE
The University at Buffalo Baseball Team was reinstated in 2000. Since reinstatement, we have been competing at the Division I level and in the Mid-American Conference. We are chasing our first ever MAC championship but have made huge strides over the past decade. We made the post-season conference tournament for the first time ever in 2012 and returned there in 2013 & 2014. We have also had 8 players over the past 5 seasons sign professional contracts including a draft pick in each of the last 5 MLB drafts. We currently have 2 former players in the big leagues (Tom Murphy – Rockies & Steve Geltz – Angels). We are a program that is on the upswing and need some help from YOU to continue to build!
WHY ARE WE RAISING MONEY
Funds that are raised this year will go towards purchasing a new set of road jerseys, new winter coats and new protective on-field screens. Due to weather, we play most of our games on the road, especially in the beginning of the season. The new set of jerseys would be our main jersey that we would wear during road games. We would love to have the jersey with the new bull logo and new buffalo font on it. We also play in some extremely cold conditions during the early portion of our schedule so our guys will wear the winter coats in the dugout all of the time. In addition to apparel upgrades we are looking to replace several on field screens that are used on a daily basis during practice and games. New screens would enhance the visual appeal of game day during batting practice as well as better protect our players.
Why YOU Should Help
In order for us attain our goal in providing the best resources for our players we are going to need help from YOU. Extra resources will go a long way in attracting prospective student athletes as well as enhancing the student-athlete experience for our current players.
