WHO WE ARE:

The Women’s Rowing team is celebrating its 20th season as a Division I program. Countless women have laid the foundation for us to not only compete at the highest of levels, but to recruit, educate and graduate strong women from all over the world.

The members of UB Women’s Rowing have worked so hard to create a presence in Buffalo, in the north east, and in the Colonial Athletic Association Conference. From 2008-2010, the program dominated, claiming three straight Jack and Nancy Seitz Trophies, awarded to the women’s points champions. In 2010, the Bulls took it one step further, winning the program’s first ever CAA Conference title.

The Women’s Rowing team takes extreme pride in not only what they do on the water, but also in the classroom. We are coming off another semester above a 3.0 GPA and continue to strive for more. The dedication, time management and hard work put in to be a member of the Women’s Rowing team are immeasurable but everlasting.

We are so proud to wear the BLUE & WHITE and will work diligently to strengthen the growth, tradition and results at the highest of levels.

WHY WE’RE RASING FUNDS:

It’s a great time to be a UB Bull, and we know that in order to be the best, we must compete with the best. We want to train better, smarter and with the right resources to put us on an even playing field with our competitors. We have identified specific training equipment that will help take this program to the next level. We are committed to providing the BEST opportunities for our student-athletes, and this training equipment will help in so many venues. From rehabilitation opportunities to graphic data to improve speed, we’re ready to grow this program to its fullest potential.  Some of the things we are looking to do and get with the funds is the following:

• Speed Coaches - Tool used for coxswains and coaches to judge speed of boat.
• Rowing Room "Wall of Captains" - We'd like to add and create a wall graphic that honors the history & tradition of our program.
• Set of new Concept 2 Oars
• Double Riggers for 2 of the 3 pairs we currently have in house so we can scull in the summer and fall seasons.
• Spin Bikes - Not only for general practice needs, but so that those rehabbing from injury can participate in practice right with their teammates!
