WHO WE ARE

We are University at Buffalo Soccer. That’s right, for this project both the men’s and women’s soccer programs are collaborating as we look to enhance the game day experience for our players.

Over the last 3 years our programs have shown incredible progress both on and off the field, progress that we are very proud of. In 2014 our women’s soccer team won the MAC Championship advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. They followed that wonderful season up with a MAC East Championship in 2015! Last season our men’s team progressed to the MAC Championship match for only the second time in school history, losing narrowly to final four bound Akron. In addition, junior Russell Cicerone won the 2015 MAC Player of the Year award on the men’s side and recent graduate Jackie Hall was named an NCAA All-American in 2014, the first All-American in program history!

Success hasn’t been limited to the field, with both programs posting department high GPA’s in recent semesters and all team members completing countless community outreach in the surrounding Western New York community.

WHY ARE WE RAISING FUNDS

This summer, one of the most prestigious soccer tournaments in the world took place here in the United States. If you watched any of the “Copa America” matches you will have noticed the Kwik Goal “Pro Premier” game goals that are being used on the field and the team specific rooms that the players emerge from pre-match and subsequently use at half and full time. As we look to capitalize on our programs successes in recent years we are aiming to do everything possible to enhance the student athlete game day experience in order to provide our players with similar experiences as these top international players. To be able to do this successfully we are soliciting your help to upgrade both our match day goals and game day team room that will be shared by both programs. By donating you are helping our programs and student athletes have the most wonderful experience possible when they are proudly wearing that Buffalo Blue, playing their hearts out at UB Stadium.
